Song Sparrow? Tucson Arizona (1 Viewer)

I feel kind of silly asking if this is a Song Sparrow but it is quite a bit different than the Eastern version we get in my home base in Ontario. Taken two weeks ago at Sweetwater Wetlands in Tucson.

Thanks in advance
Paul

I'd say it is a Song, albeit a very lightly marked one. Probably the paler, more rufous sub-species M. m. fallax from Arizona.

Of all our native sparrows, I think the Song Sparrow is most variable in its plumage in respect to its geographical location. They can appear quite different in different parts of the US.
