Our local association organized Bird rally at 1st of May. Participation was not huge, only four teams (the majority of Finns are smashed or at least in a hangover at that day) o
. Rally started at 03:00 AM and lasted at 06:00 PM and the area was Kymenlaakso in South-East Finland. For 120 species we were third. Second team scored 124 and the winners got mighty 136 species. Totally all four teams saw (or heard) 151 species.
The next rally will be held on May 19th at the Virolahti (the most South-Eastern corner of Finland) during Arktika Days. https://www.arktikavirolahti.fi/in-english
Usually there has been much better participation. Non-Finnish teams are welcome too.
