Hi,

still struggeling to identify these fellows. Any ideas?

#1: solitary or spotted sandpiper? Coast of Panama city
#2: herring or ring billed gull? (both said to be rare migrants so..) Also coast of Panama city
#3: big flock (~30) of noisy birds. Maybe some kites? Seen in Gamboa over the chagres river
#4: belted or ringed kingfisher? Unfo no pic from the front. Seen at a lake next to the coast of Las lajas (near David)
#5: Some falcon? Seen on Volcan Baru at around 2200m

I'd go for Ringed for the Kingfisher, with that massive, up-tilted bill.


Any more pics of the sandpipers, from different angles? Not sure it isn't Spotted (left) and Solitary (right), but want more angles to be sure.

Both are Spotted Sandpipers.

Other photos have really poor resolution, the gull in the middle of second pic is probably Laughing.. but...
 
Thanks so far guys!! Appreciated. :) I think Plumbeous Kite is the more likely option since Mississippi passes through Panama later in the year (Oct). At least that´s what the book says.. right?

Any suggestions for the falcon #5 ?
