Dark Gull ID Lancaster Co Nebraska (1 Viewer)

I found two herring gulls there, but this one seemed to be more uniformly darker. The pictures are within about 1 minute, and I believe are the same bird, though there was another gull there. The first two are more likely the same, the third photo I am not totally sure was the same bird.

I drove around the lake and photographed this Herring Gull a half hour later, at the same South end of the lake

exactly between these two. but not easy to tell without better pics of the upperparts. looks like herring to me though, on structure of bill.
