First-winter Dusky Thrush - Beeley, Derbyshire - 08.12.16

A selection of 15 images of this bird in case of interest. I've thrown in a few that illustrate the more rufous nature of the lower flank spotting, tail colouration, tertial & covert patterning, etc. They are all murdered by the ISO as a result of the overcast conditions. The more overcast, the higher the ISO, the more monochrome. At times the wing panel totally disappeared in the photos as did the bill base........

These photos are stunning, the light is awful these days but that Thrush is a fantastic find.
