Northern Eider

I managed to pick up 2 Eiders showing strong characteristics of the sub species Borealis, Grey point, Belfast lough on wednesday.

They've got the scapular 'sails', but bill colour looks normal to me, not the bright yellow one would expect for S. m. borealis (e.g. here).
