The End for Netfugl? (1 Viewer)

From the excellent Danish website Netfugl:

"After over 12 years of Netfugl it has been decided that it is time to start the decommissioning of the site 1 January 2014.

Since there eventually is a very large amount of information on the page , it is not something we just do from one day to the next . Initially, news , forum and Trip Reports be shut down. Just as the possibility of commenting in the gallery will be closed.

Updating the species lists mm . will still be possible and work is currently underway to continue a limited continuous update of the gallery.

Basically, there is NO plan to erase something or do something on the website inaccessible until it may have moved to another site . It is also agreed with DOF to let the website be on DOF 's server.

More will probably ask why? But there is not a single or for that matter two clear reasons for this decision to be taken . It is a combination of a variety of reasons such as is lack of time , lack of resources, lack of motivation and enthusiasm , lack of support and technical old and totally outdated website.

Netfugl thank you for the great support and effort that has been put into the site over the years from users as well as the many volunteers who have helped to keep the website running."
