I'm starting with butterflies and moths and haven's even a basic level. But working to learn....

Could you please help with these moths ID.

#1 is a species of Eupithecia (Geometridae) - a difficult group
#2 is another geometrid - to check
#3 is Hoplodrina ambigua (Noctuidae)
#4 is Idaea degeneraria (Geometridae)
#5 is another Menophra abruptaria

Thanks Martin.

I understand the way to start should be trying to learn those field characters to get to the family level, and then start a detailed search once in that level. It's impossible just to start looking for pictures till you get the one you have in your picture.

I have these new five ones.
