I will likely have my head in the sand afterwards... this was in a marshy area but doesn't look like a female red winged and wondered if it is a bunting... please don't tell me it's a cowbird :egghead: birdforum.jpg
 
LOL! I guess I am hoping for a unique sighting... female and immature birds often leave me stumped... this one was perched for some time and was probably waiting for me to leave so it could drop an egg into a nearby nest ;)
