this poor old thing is struggling. feet swollen, breathing problems. best leave nature take course usually but 1. he suffers 2. can spread disease

he is eating ok, seems to fly ok

Doubt there's anything you can do - if it's so sick that you can pick it up, it'll be dead soon anyway. If you're putting food out, scatter it widely so birds can feed well apart from each other, that'll cut the risks of disease transmission a bit.

Sad to say, but the chances are a Sparrowhawk, or the neighbour's cat, will sort the problem out soon.
