Harrier near Hamburg (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

Last Sunday, I visited the Kirchwerder Wiesen and spotted this harrier:



I'm not quite sure of the ID ... it looks very much like a male Marsh Harrier in most respects, but the dark upper parts that look black and grey really confused me.

I'll admit that from some angles, the grey parts occasionally looked sort of brown-ish, so is this maybe a trick played by the light?

On the other hand, I've seen Marsh Harriers quite a few times, and never noticed anything like this.

Your opinion would be very much appreciated!

For me it is Western Marsh Harrier.
