Prague in August

I am thinking about a long weekend in Prague in August. I would like to see some species which are unusual in Scotland, especially Woodpeckers and maybe Penduline Tit. Any tips would be most welcome.

I haven't really been there at all, but seeing as no-one has replied yet - have you checked in the regional sub-forum?
For example, this thread:

Also, there seems to be a pretty-ish kind of wilderness west of Prague:

Hopefully some more knowledgeable people will be able to comment as well.

Thanks, I did see that thread. I have not been to Prague before so the geography needs some work.

I am back from Prague and it’s a beautiful, vibrant city. In August birding was not really worthwhile, the forest birds were quiet and that made birding tough. Hopefully I’ll be back at a better time of year.
