Have You Seen Any of These Birds? (1 Viewer)

Tim the five (5) species you have suggested have been incorporated into the "Not Seen" list (attachment in post # 1 of this thread).

Edit: All but the Tsingy Wood Rail have been moved to the "Seen" list.

Not sure if we've mentioned yet, can't go through every page!

Inaccessible island rail ...

Jamie, if you go to the first page of this thread in post # 1 you will find an attachment that shows both the "Not Seen" and the "Seen" lists.

The Inaccessible Island Rail has been seen by some one who posts to this thread.

Seen by richwhite44 (per. comm.)

Berlepsch's Tinamou
Cocos Island Finch
Makatea Fruit Dove
Mangaia Kingfisher
Nukuhiva Pigeon
Principe Sunbird
Rarotonga Monarch
Rarotonga Starling

It has been awhile!

I guess no one visiting this thread has observed any of the "Not Seen" birds mentioned in the attachment in the first post of this thread.

Usambara

As part of trip to Tanzania visited West and East Usambara's.
Managed to see Usambara Ground Robin (Akalat) after much playback by our guide on river about 2Km from Muller's Mountain Lodge, West Usambara.
Heard Usambara eagle-owls including young but despite much calling by our guide Victor on two different territories we didn't see the birds (he was very disappointed, as were we, as he had managed to call it in only 4 days before) this was at Amani Research Centre in E Usambara.
We also saw Usambara Hyliota and Evergreen Forest Warbler which the guide thought was hardest bird to see in the area.

On "Not Seen" List:
Usambara Eagle Owl (Heard only)
Usambara Ground-Robin - aka. Akalat

Already on "Seen" List
Usambara Hyliota

* Evergreen Forest Warbler (Bradypterus lopezi) had not been suggested by anyone visiting this thread as being not seen by anyone visiting this thread.

I will move the Usambara Eagle Owl (heard only) and Usambara Ground-Roben (aka. Akalat) to the "Seen" List

Taken during a trip to NZ of course in 2009. Bold fellas that came to the tour bus to feed from tourists. Too bold for their own good ;)

wavethree, nice photos of a Kea.

* The three species that I listed have been moved to the "Seen" list quite a while ago.
