Same bird and same time by 8400 and G1 respectively.
For the original photos, 8400 gets a bit more detail. ;)

Great to see the comparison. Colour looks better on the G1 otherwise very little difference.
I was thinking of getting the G1.
What would be the advantages of the G1 over the 8400.

can use iso400. that is much faster shutter speed.
much higher resolution evf.
very short time lag.
faster and better focusing.
good manual focusing.
longer battery life.
very short photo saving time.
can change lens.

anyway, 8400 is still my favorite camera for digiscoping because of the quality and reach.o:D
