Northern California duck/goose ID help needed (1 Viewer)

I've occasionally seen birds similar to this before, but I'm not sure what they are. Maybe some kind of mutant or hybrid, or an escaped domesticated bird?

I saw this particular one at the duck pond at Palo Alto Baylands park in Palo Alto, California in the early afternoon on 2017-10-29. It was larger than a typical Mallard, but smaller than a typical Canada Goose (maybe about the size of a Muscovy Duck).

Any identification help will be appreciated.
