New Twentse test of Leica Apo-Televid 82 (1 Viewer)

Ilkka,

I also had the 25-50x to try for a short time, and pretty much had similar experiences about eye-placement/kideny beaning. It'll be interesting to see your photos.

Unfortunately I did not have the chance to try it in both ATS/M and AT scopes side-by-side, but the impression I was left with was that the blackouts were more severe with the 'green' scopes and rather manageable with the 'gray' scopes. Gray scope owners who tried the e.p. usually reacted with something like: "Oh ****, I really don't have the money for this but I guess I must start saving up."

Uhh, good thing I did not buy it then, it looked good on paper but I can´t live with kidney beaning.

Kristoffer - I would still recommend you to give it a try. It may or may not cause "kidney beaning" to *you*. If it works, it is a great piece of optics.

Kimmo,

I posted the photos and the lengthy discussion ;) in the Swarovski "Blackout/Blinkies/Kidney beaning" -thread.
