Cardinal Friday- QuickTime Video (1 Viewer)

The Village Vidiot
The feeder was out of service for most of the day today- for maintenance. Had to hose it down and get it up it standards. The Queen is coming for a look tomorrow afternoon and I wouldn't want her to smell squirrel pee or see any bird doo. Yeah, right. That got you attention though.

We did do maintenance and shuffle thing around a bit. The customers were hanging around but not able to eat- by 3 pm they were hungry and mad with me. As soon as I went inside and closed the door for the last time, they decended- doves- and a lot of them. There were so many, they ran off the squirrels. Then later, the cardinals, nuthatches, tits, woodys, and the ruby crown came back for a short flutter. It was a high contrast day- lots of sun and dark shadows- the light was pretty toward evening, the cardinals look especially bright.

Hi Alan, you're right... the cardinals look beautiful in that light. I still love that little nuthatch too! ;)

And I particularly like the water shot. Nice!
