We decided to take it easy in Manila, our early thought of going to Mount Palay-Palay or back to Makiling quickly faded and we just caught up on some reading and relaxing, so rather a boring end to the trip.
Flight home via Dubai was pretty uneventful.
I'll try to post a cleaned up version of the trip report, (some bits I notice were missed other duplicated), and now that I'm home I will start loading my images and video and will post some of the better shots on here.
Indigo-banded kingfisher, barred rail, Phil Scops Owl, YV Bulbul and Stripe-headed Rhabdornis
Barred Rail = gorgeous :t:
Found this photo which has details including names of mountains and town.
Thanks Gareth. Don't know when we will do Part 2, probably not in 2015 as starting to put some tentative plans together for next year.An enjoyable report, and well done for doing it on the move, I would never have the staying power or ability to type all that out on a phone. Some cracking birds as well, particularly the Eagle Owl and the Visayan Broadbill - two birds id love to see; not to mention the good old PPP!
Looking forward to your part 2,
and also the next Philippines instalment that has just begun...
Cheers
Have you made it to New Guinea yet?
