Black Noddy or Brown Noddy St Lucia,

Would like your thoughts on this bird.
I had it down as brown noddy, but now looking at it the cap does seem to have a very distinctive cut off line.

Thanks

Mike

I've seen these birds in native Puerto Rico
This bird has more brown in color than the greyish to dark black noddy.
Also the location of the bird you said it was st lucia.

I believe that Black Noddy would be rare anywhere in the Caribbean, while Brown Noddy is common

I would need considerably better photo than this one to think that it shows the rarer of two such species

I did think it was a Brown noddy to be fair.
Just the sharp contrasted cap make me think about it again.
Sadly I have no other pics
