Joint Birdforum Lockdown List - April and May (3 Viewers)

Is there a list going for the United States? I spotted a California quail, and heard some Canada geese this morning on my new property.

I can add Spotted Flycatcher (17/04), Pied Flycatcher (14/04), Collared Flycatcher(12/04), Spanish Sparrow (01/04), Tawny Pipit (01/04), Tree Pipit (01/04) and Blue Rock Thrush (13/04) to the Europe list, all from home. I had several Lesser Kestrels and Subalpine Warblers in March, but not sure if any in April.

Subalpine Warbler and Montagu's Harrier from the last two days' balcony watch, also Alpine Swift a couple of weeks ago. It's hard to scan these lists for missing birds, I hadn't realized Blue Rock Thrush was missing until I saw Gladiator96's post, they are a daily sight for me as well here year-round

I think you have missed Sardinian Warbler off the list. There is a pair living in my garden, they like mealworms!

My apologies, I even managed to add your Pallid Swift the same day!

Definitely. Don't quite know what the answer is - maybe a googlesheets spreadsheet with all the potential species on it, but that would have its own issues? At least this way you discover something that you thought wasn't there, like finding another orange cream in the chocolate selection tin amongst the others and wrappers when you thought they had all gone ...

Dan, I'm sorry I've never taken the time to follow the new taxonomy of the past couple of years, but if we're counting things on our 2km walks, it looks like your absent Green Sandpiper, LRP and (roding) Woodcock that I saw on the 16th.

* And Curlew, Avocet and Goosander

Also a number of 'target' species which haven't been reported on this thread in the UK, but which have been seen in the UK in 2020 (obviously many before lockdown).

There will also be a handful of late spring migrants which have yet to appear in the UK and other rarer birds like WB Diver etc ...

I can add common and Little tern, SEO, greenshank, green sand, woodlark, black redstart, LRP, LEO, Little gull, Yellow wag, golden plover, RL Partridge, siskin, brent goose, med gull, barwit, brambling and hen harrier.

Thanks all.

Good migration day today (as usual marred by hunters shooting at almost everything). Can add Red-footed Falcon, Lesser Kestrel, Whinchat and Icterine Warbler for Europe. Also had a few probable distant turtle doves, but couldn't confirm any...but I'm sure I'll get one eventually.

And Europe:

Additions since last in bold. Can make corrections in next 24hours if necesssary ... ;)

Hey, Dan. I got you a Willow Tit on my ten-minute limp around the block yesterday morning. Damn blisters won't go away :-C I notice you had the bird on the European list but not the UK.

An excellent day from the balcony today (50 species so far) adds Honey Buzzard, Hobby, and Spotted Flycatcher to the European list (though my personal highlights were Collared Flycatcher and Lesser Kestrel, both already reported from Malta)

Had my first Honey Buzzard of the year today too. What area of Italy are you from?
