Common Black or Zone-tailed Hawk - Trinidad

Originally thought CBH since the wings looked quite broad, but the tail and head shape resemble ZTH.

I think this is common black hawk. Reasons include: only one clear tail band, fairly short tail, inner wing "bulge", and (for me) head shape. Compare for example:

Agree, short tail and protruding head. For Zone-tailed, look for a buteo that reminds you briefly of a Turkey Vulture
