Spotting scope photography (1 Viewer)

Make or buy an adapter to mount the camera behind the eyepiece, using a 20-50 mm lens (try which focal length works best). Then zoom in with the telescope untill vignetting disappears. Put the camera on 'aperture priority', choose the widest aperture (lowest number) on the camera and shoot. There's a risk that the 'mirror slap' causes unsharpness at low shutter speeds. Experiment with shutter speeds, by varying scope magnification, camera ISO settings and wheather conditions (amount of light), to find out how to avoid this.
