1 I think is Hooded due to the shape of the mask in the head - might be good to see a second angle if available
2 Agree
3 I think female GT Grackle
4 is golden-fronted woodpecker
5 is gr. Kiskadee

Am I missing something, or is #3 not a crow of some sort? Not sure what is expected there.

I thought Melodious Blackbird for 3, but I must confess to being far from au fait with the complete range of Grackles in that area. Certainly looks Icterid though, rather than Crow.

And for my own education, what's the best feature that makes the Tanager Summer rather than Hepatic (or is it Red these days round there)?

To my eyes #3 looks brownish rather than black - and Melodious Blackbird is monomorphic, both males and females are black. I also to a higher degree remember these from the northern coast rather than at Riviera Maya.

I am not positive I can exclude Hepatic. I just remember so many more Summer from that area ...

#3 doesn't look right for female Great-tailed Grackle - I know the bird is in shadow, but female Great-tailed would be much paler brown, with strong facial markings and a pale eye, plus a longer bill. Overall structure fits Melodious well - young birds are more brownish than adults, so perhaps a younger bird.

I agree on Hooded Oriole for this second image. I also think now that the browner appearance have been explained that the icterid is a Melodious Blackbird.
