Bird rescue advice (1 Viewer)

Hello, I’m new to this group. A bird family has taken refuge under the roof, and there is a feral cat lurking by. I’ve been feeding the cat but tonight it tried to get to the bird via a small tree and I had to chase it away with a broomstick. The birds has recently given birth. I fear the cat would return during the night. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi Gooeyguy and welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. The only thing I can think of is to try and trap the cat, maybe contact your city/county animal control and see about getting a trap from them.

Hi Gooeyguy and a warm welcome from me too.

I think Lisa gives good advice - please let us know how you get on.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
