Fairbanks Birding (1 Viewer)

We have an extra day in Fairbanks before the start of the land portion of our cruise in mid-August. Staying at the Princess Riverside Lodge. Any suggestions for birding on our own for a day or part thereof?
In advance, thanks.

The two ponds by the airport are alright for birding. It's pretty close to where you're staying so it wouldn't hurt to pop down over there and check it out. Another good area is Creamer's Field on the northern end of town. You can catch a bus over by the Freddy Meyers to get over there if you don't have access to a vehicle.
