Disney Florida/St Augustine May/June 2019 (1 Viewer)

I'll be in St Augustine Sat/Sun/Mon... Anxiously looking forward to seeing my first painted bunting. All other birds in the region then come secondary for me...been trying to spot one since declaring myself a birder several years ago.

I'll be sure to visit Anastasia Island. Any public (or private-by PM) tips on where to look for PBs in the area is appreciated.

Hi David - the entrance road is the best place. Park up at the end by the shop etc and then slowly walk back up the road towards the entrance looking on the left. I had them in the bushes and on the wires. Earlier you can, the better. The beach Least Tern colony is fantastic and also very close to the shop/visitor centre. Good luck
