western France: today Rustic Bunting ? (1 Viewer)

Hello everybody

we saw these today in the salt marshes at Guerande
we think that they are

1
Rustic Bunting (Emberiza rustica)

2

Water Pipits (A. spinoletta) ???

photos 1 and 2 were taken on the sea wall at the edge of the salt pans
3 and 4 on the track between the pans

could someone confirm please

I can't really make out the tail in these shots. You normally can't see the white outer tail feathers in many birds that have them unless they spread their tail, eg when they fly

Agree with Reed Bunting and Meadow Pipit. Meadow Pipits also have white outer tail feathers
