Female Goosander today still at the Moors Pool then flew towards the Sailing Pool plus 43 Pochard and an argentatus-type Herring Gull sporting yellow legs as per Mike W and Andy P.

enjoyable afternoon with good birds and company, with lots of birds flying around they kept you on your toes.Many thanks to Mike W for pointing out the coal tit and siskins , The Moors was as busy as the flashes was as quiet.

Little Owl on the dilapidated barn at 0730, c450 Lapwing, 11 Curlew, 30 Teal, Cetti's Warbler calling.

MOORS POOL
Coal Tit, Jay and Treecreeper on and around feeders in North Moors

Today's work party at FLASHES

Well we were going to have one but rain stopped play...25 of the Tuesday Crew did however enjoy a breakfast at the SAILING centre Cafe. This a thank you for the great effort this season. See my twitter for party pic

Birding on Reserve Today

A very wet day worsening all the time with a strong S/SE
The water levels are now rising..the Flashes is at the Spring level of 0.4.

Moors: (7.30 - 8.40am)
GCG. Little grebe 3. Cormorant 3. Mute swan 4. Canada geese 20. Shoveler 15+. Teal 23. Gadwall pr. Mallard 40. Shelduck. Tufted 20+. Pochard c28.
Coot only 15.
Snipe 22. Lapwing 140. Curlew 6.

FLASHES:(11am -2.40pm)
Teal 91 . Mallard 55. Shoveler 6.
Coot 3
Snipe 14. Curlew 7.
Thrushes c150. Grey wag.

SAILING POOL:
GCG 5. Goosander fem. Tufted 3. Coot 18-20. Cormorant 14.
