A day off in Rotterdam next week: Black Woodpecker? (1 Viewer)

Hello

I’ve just realised I’ll have the best part of Wednesday free, based in Rotterdam, next week. Black Woodpecker would be a lifer for me: is this feasible? Where and how (inc by public transport probably) should I go about it?

Thanks in advance for all help

Unfortunately Rotterdam is quite a distance from the Black Woodpecker locations. Probably the clostest would be 'Heidestein' in Zeist. That would be feasible by public transport, but it would take you approx 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You can see how to get there by this link (I hope...)https://web-acc.9292.nl/en/journeyadvice/station-rotterdam-centraal/zeist_prinses-margrietlaan-235/departure/2017-12-13T0905

On the upside: it could also produce some other interesting sightings:

I do hope you get to see it!
Regards, Peter
