As usual the question is whether I can see 500 birds. After last year's effort just sneaking over the line, I will have to be more focused and make more of an effort in CA.
As for trips, it looks like I'll have a SC swing in June, where hopefully I can escape Hilton Head Island long enough to find Swallow-tailed Kite's, definitely this year's target bird.
In November I have a SA trip planned, with 6 days in Kruger, followed by a few days in the Cape, there my targets are Victorin's Warbler, Cape Rockjumper, Cape Sugarbird, Bokmakerie and Cape Gannet.
I may get to the UK in the Spring.
I'm really hoping to manage a trip to Pico Bonito Lodge in Honduras some time, if that happens I will up the target B
As usual the year started at lake Tahoe, but horrible weather meant no snow shoeing, so I had to make do with the few birds that came to our feeders.
