John Gould, (14 September 1804 – 3 February 1881) was an English ornithologist and bird artist. He published a number of monographs on birds

I just came across a great website, John Gould's Ornithological Collection. This art collection is housed only a short distance from Saint Joseph at Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas. I am must get over there sometime soon and get a look of these original pieces of art!
