Hi Cali birders!

Is there a reliable place for C-Gnatcatcher and YB Magpie near Ventura? If not, which are the nearest locations to find those species.

I'm planning to do powerlisting trip to California/Arizona this September.

best regards
Uq

Hey uq

I found the gnatcatcher and the thrasher easily at Crystal Cove State Park near Orange County, just south of LA. Also Roadrunner here too.

Can you give me some directions about Crystal Cove SP. As i have understood it's a quite big area. Are the Gnatcatchers everywhere? What kind of habitat it prefers in September?

You mean Calif. Thrasher? Seems like this species is fairly easy, at least based on the trip reports i've read.

thanks
Uq
