Skomer little owls? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I've seen a few pictures of little owls on Skomer Island - does anyone know whereabouts on the island there could be a chance of seeing one?

Thanks very much,
Steve.

Hello,

Was on Skomer last year to see the puffins and on the walk back went to the display and accommodation building in the centre of the island - a woman there said if we were to walk back to the boat following a path that followed an old wall we were guaranteed to see the little owls - followed her directions and loitered for quite a time but unfortunately didn't see them.

When you visit for the day you get a talk on landing giving tips on where you may see certain birds including little owl. Having said that we didn't see any owls at all.

Quick tip: get to the car park early. We arrived before 10 on a Thursday morning & only just made the last boat over as they limit visitors to 250.

Really enjoyed Skomer- Puffins were amazing- quite a few young ones emerging from burrows last week.
