will d7200 lenses fit d850

May be a dumb question to some people will the d7200 lenses fit the d850 and if yes any problems with it like auto focus not working or anything that could cause a problem I want to use my sigma 150- 600mm f5-6.3 DG c lens on d850

Provided they are FX lenses, there will be perfect functioning and true focal length results. For example, I have a Tamron 150-600 (which is equivalent fov to a 225-900 on my D7200). It is an FX lens and so would work perfectly on a full frame D850 say.

If the lenses are purpose designed DX lenses, then they will not deliver a big enough image circle to the full frame sensor and so will suffer heavy vignetting. For example, I have a Tokina 12-28 which is a DX lens. It is the same physical mount as a FX lens, but is designed to work with the smaller DX sensor of the D7200 for instance. Putting this lens on a full frame D850 would give a 12-28 focal range, but would show a big black circle around the outside of the frame (ie. in the corners of the picture). You could crop this out, or use the D850 in DX mode, but then you are effectively increasing the focal length by a multiple of 1.5x, and reducing resolution too. Not ideal, but doable in a pinch.

Knowing what lenses you plan on using may yield more conclusive answers....

However, lenses that work with the D7200 should work on the D850 AF-wise and aperture control wise. Some old ones may have issues, but those would be the same with the D7200.

If a lens is designed for the use on DX body like the D7200 the Nikon FX bodies have a setting that turns them into DX bodies, i.e. only the part of the sensor that corresponds to the DX size will be stored in the image. Depending on the lens you may get some more or less pronounced vignetting in the viewfinder (that still works as FX viewfinder, but shows an DX overlay).

In the D800 this can be turned off somewhere in the menu and the lens is used and images are recorded as with a FX lens. If have a Tokina DX 11-16mm that shows some vignetting in the FX mode on the D800, but at 16mm its quite usable. On the other hand a Sigma 18-55mm shows strong vignetting all the way up to 55mm.
