How many 'out there' use a Kowa TS 504-ED / 15-30x?
It's a lovely light little scope and I've a 'bee in my bonnet' for a fixed 20-22x functioning eyepiece.
Has anyone replaced the zoom eyepiece with something like a 25xLER(from the60/66 series)? ..which should yield about 18x magnification with a 2mm aperture. Harald

Thank you njlarsen & vop for responding to my TS504-ED question, a while ago.
If anyone out there has one, they're not "foruming* about it. H

Well Karl, I pulled this from Kowa's site and it reads to me that the 504 comes with a fixed (non interchangeable) zoom EP.

This Kowa scope is small in size but has enormous capability. The TS-500 has a 50mm objective lens and is available with 2 different built in eyepieces, 20X or 20-40X zoom. There are 2 body design configurations, offset 45 degree and straight, In all there is a line up of 5 different scopes to choose from. The TS-500 is the ideal go anywhere scope with unlimited applications, including use for observation and sporting events. The newly introduced TS-504 offers an ED objective lens for those seeking a "Prominar" model in an extremely compact and lightweight body. The TS-504 comes with a 15-30x zoom eyepiece in a straight black body.

I have a Nikon ED50 that also weighs 16oz and takes all the Fieldscopes EPs including the superb 16x DS and the 20x MC wide EPs. Both of these s/b in your bailiwick.
