Leica Televid early models (1 Viewer)

Hello,

There is much difference between the early models Televid 77mm non APO and the APO model ?

I was rather surprised and a bit annoyed to realize how little difference there was, considering the price difference. I had the more expensive APO version, yet had a hard time to detect any difference at all in customary use.

I had both for a time, and the difference was obvious at higher magnfications (>35x). But even at fairly low magnfications the differences in contrast were visible.

However, as far as non-ED scopes go, the Televid was nice.

That is what I would have expected as well. So I was rather puzzled about the outcome in my direct comparison.
