Auto focus stopped working (1 Viewer)

Hi my canon 600mm usm lense the auto focus has stopped working .its a few years old but till a great lense any ideas please .dave
 
I take it that you have given the gold plated terminals on the end of the lens a quick wipe. Dirt or grease on them is usually the problem when a a lens stops communicating with the camera body.
 
Hi dave it seems to be the extender works ok without always work up to now will try giving it a good clean thanks for your help
