About 30 km east of Metama in dry scrub, I found this Cisticola and I am not shure about identification. Croaking, Stout or Ethiopian?

Thanks for the two comments. The only thing is, that it [Red-pate] would be out of range (according to Birds of Africa south of the Sahara)

Jean Francois is right; Birds of the Horn of Africa would allow Red-pate in that location, and the map in Birds of Africa would also do so (the map is too small to be clear, unfortunately).

Ethiopian should have a red-wing panel (not always as strong as the books show, but still a more obvious red panel than this bird, I think). And it's a wetland not dry scrub bird (the local replacement for Winding).

Also compare this bird with the bird which I ID'd (I hope correctly) as Red-pate in your other thread.
