Compare Vortex Viper HD and Monarch 7 (1 Viewer)

Hi folks,
I am in the market for mid-priced binos and am seriously considering either the Vortex Viper HD or the Monarch 7. I know the Monarch 7 has a FOV of 420 vs 409 for the Vortex but the Vortex has a great no- fault warranty. Please help me decide. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Tzobeck and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I've moved your post to the Binocular forum and subscribed you to the thread so you can find it easily.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to help you decide.

Hi Tzobeck and welcome.

Vortex binos used to be made in Japan but for some months now they have been made in China and the reports are not all good, but as you rightly point out Vortex has a great warranty. Personally I would go for the Nikon with its wider field of view and proven reliability.
