Don’t know how you do the link thingy, but Midway Island is covered in Albatrosses - Laysan , I think ?
I'll check, but I suspect it will be private coverage, not google - can't see them shipping a car all the way out there :-O

EDIT: surprisingly, it is google!
Laysan Albatross #129 so far:
https://www.google.com/maps/@28.206...4!1sB296si9-2qDLTAYNmDCnJA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Black-footed also to be found (and if very lucky there's an odd Short-tailed there too); several other seabirds as well.

EDIT 2 Black-footed Albatross #130:
https://www.google.com/maps/@28.202869,-177.374673,3a,15.6y,81.57h,72.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTIixUWQJsldJ5_YzMW_KBA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

EDIT 3: Short-tailed is off the cards: the few there are on East Island, and that doesn't have GSV :-C

They don't use cars all the time. They used a boat in the Sundarbans in Bangladesh! Also seems to have someone carrying the camera along the boardwalk in Kotka (in the sundarbans)

Kotka is a great place for birding, but I think they're moving to quickly for chances at the interesting birds there.

My first Midway spot was covered in terms; not sure whether they are Sooty or Grey-backed, both breed there. I’ll try to find them again. Butterfly has the orange red colour of a Painted Lady, and the pattern matches as well, not the mostly black of a Red Admiral.

Yep; on Midway they look to be using one of those little golf buggies.

Checked Kotka; sadly, it's a dreaded 'See Inside' (as is what little there is on Midway East Island) :C

Been a while since I've seen either so am a bit rusty. Having looked at book I was just about to delete/amend my comment but things have moved on quickly since then. Not convinced completely either way....but as we aren't (yet?) keeping an insect list it doesn't matter much. I did have a Dragonfly sp. in Uganda along the interesting road where the Pied Kingfishers were.

Looked at these same ducks last night but couldn't work out what they were likely to be.

I think I’m confusing myself, although I haven’t refound the terns, I think I was on Laysan. Before I drive myself mad, is this a legitimate site, or the dreaded inside?

Yep, valid GSV, surprisingly!

Ruddy Turnstone #136
Sanderling #137
Royal Tern #138
Cabot's Tern #139 (split from Sarnie!)
Burrowing Owl #140

Could only see Laughing Gulls (already got) among the gulls; Ring-billed is still needed though. No Caspian Terns, only Royal and Cabot's.
