What sparrows have you seen? (2 Viewers)

also up to 36 new world sparrows, with Nelson's in Texas last March and the controversial Colorado Rufous-collared Sparrow in May

Chipping Sparrow
White-Crowned Sparrow
Golden-Crowned Sparrow
White-Throated Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Fox Sparrow
Lincoln's Sparrow
Saffron Finch (an escape bird)

House Sparrow
 
here in Jeddah the House sparrow off course. and also once came to my garden the Arabiam golden sparrow, Passer euchlorus, which normally don't occur Jeddah, so i think it is an escape. i see many of them in cages.

also saw the Eurasian tree sparrow in the Philippines.

Most of our sparrows are pretty drab. Some people don't even bother to identify them. They just refer to them as LBJs (Little Brown Jobs). In fact the first time I heard LBJ, all I could think of was a former US President.

During the summer I have Lark, Field, House, Savannah, and chipping sparrow but nothing as pretty at the Arabian golden sparrow.
