Tuesday May 17, 2005:
One BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK and a YELLOW WARBLER were seen just off Corfield Road in Parksville.

Monday May 16:
A BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was spotted in the 10800 block of Chemainus Road in Saltair.

Sunday May 15:
The Sunday Bird Walk went to McGregor Marsh, in north Nanaimo. 17 birders found the following 49 species:

Friday May 13:

Over 20 RED CROSSBILLS, an Albino SPOTTED TOWHEE and a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH were seen in a yard in the 2300 block of Evanshire Crescent in Nanoose Bay.
Sharp-shinned Hawk, Band-tailed Pigeon, Rufous Hummingbird, Downy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Steller's Jay, Red-breasted Nuthatch, European Starlings, Varied Thrush, Spotted Towhee, Fox Sparrow, Song Sparrows, White-crowned Sparrows, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Brewer's Blackbirds, Purple Finch
House Finch, Red Crossbill, Pine Siskin, American Goldfinch and Evening Grosbeak have been coming to a yard in the
90 block of Beaver Road at Lake Cowichan.
12 RED CROSSBILLS were seen at feeders along Brodys Place off Lost Lake Road in north Nanaimo.

Thursday May 12:
A TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was spotted in a yard in the 2500 block of Cameo Drive on Gabriola Island.

Wednesday May 11:
Twelve RED CROSSBILLS were seen at feeders in Fairwinds near Schooner Cove in Nanoose Bay.

Monday May 09:
Two YELLOW WARBLERS, one COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, one GREAT BLUE HERON and one RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD were seen at Buttertubs Marsh.
