Unknown moth in Holland (1 Viewer)

I would appreciate any help in identifying this rather large moth that I found in my garden in Hilversum, The Netherlands.

I would suggest a notodontid, perhaps a Drymonia sp.

Could it be Peridea anceps?

I don't think so. Even in this worn state, I think you would still see the large oval stigma on the forewing.

A friend of mine mentions it is probably the Pale Tussock - Calliteara pudibunda.
What do you think?
