Could'nt resist showing this one as we don't see many Pheasants on the forums. When it comes to birds and colour they don't come much better than this bird.

Hi Jim,

Yes that's the classic colour for them; we still have some of them around here but a lot of ours are now either the 'French' dark ones or hybrids. OK, they're pretty enough but not like that one in full regalia.

They are beautiful aren't they? We had 2 cocks in the garden today, but sadly we seem to be down to 3 hens. On Friday I saw one lying at the end of the track. Not sure if she had been hit by a car, but she had been placed by the side and I couldn't see any signs of an accident. By the time I returned she had gone.
