Nikon - smart looking adapter (1 Viewer)

Recently I saw two guys both using Nikons. I think they were p6000s or p5100. The cameras were attached to scopes using a colar type adaptor that also had a small bracket for attaching a cable release. I guess this adapter is specifically designed for the Nikon as the bracket located the cable release directly above the shutter button.

This whole set-up struck me as rather smart and easy to use. What I do not know however, is the make of scopes these guys were using (if it's at relevant?) or the maker of the adaptor. Could someone shed some light on this for me?

Thank you.

I'd guess that they would have been using the Nikon FSA adapters, if so they only work with Nikon scopes and specific Nikon cameras... but they are very good.
