Stick Insects, Isles of Scilly (1 Viewer)

Morning all,

Will be on a family holiday on Scilly last week of August and I'd be keen to see the established stick insects there. We are staying in Old Town and I've worked out the cemetery area is good for prickly stick insect (presumably on bramble).

Does anyone have spots to try for the other species by any chance (unarmed, smooth, Bacillus rosius Tresco only?)).

Thanks,
P

I believe Smooth are around Parting Carn, near the post box in the wall.

I know the prickly one is around the small monument in Old Town Churchyard. I'll check with one of my mates to see if it's okay I pass on his e-mail address to you. He'll be able to help.

Fantastic, thanks guys that's great. I recall seeing smooth on Tresco when the '93 hermit thrush was there. That's, ahem, 25 years ago. Time a say a few more!

Thanks, P

Hi Paul. I've sent you a PM with an address for Bob Dawson. I hope it's gone through; it may be the first one I've sent and I'm not certain I got it right.
