Hummingbirds - Peru - October 2007

Hi All,

I've attached a few pics I took in Peru in October 2007 (sorry for the poor quality but I was a bit rushed). I think they were taken near Aguas Calientes just below Macchu Picchu. I know nothing about Hummingbirds and have been curious for years what species they all are.

It's be great if anyone could help.

Thanks,
Damian

#3 and #5 are perhaps Sparkling Violetear, Colibri coruscans?

The long tailed bird in #1 is likely to be a male Long-tailed Sylph.

I see three hummingbird species in your photos:

Sparkling Violetear
Chestnut-breasted Coronet
Long-tailed Sylph

Thanks for all your replies. You've helped me to finally put a five year mystery to bed ;-).
