Nikon EDG II 8x32 minimum IPD? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Am seeking a high quality view and small interpupillary distance...

I've seen this review of the EDG II 8x32 showing a miinimum IPD of 51.4mm: https://www.allbinos.com/index.html?test=lornetki&test_l=281 while Nikon's UK page states 54mm for the same: https://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/product/sport-optics/binoculars/edg/edg-8x32#tech_specs

Was hoping some kind member who owns a pair and some calipers (or a ruler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ7_km8kTVg&feature=youtu.be&t=43) might help resolve the discrepancy for me?

If so, thank you in advance and very best wishes!

Nikon USAs information from their Archived Binoculars states that the 8x32 and 10x32 EDGs to have identical IPDs of 55-76mm.

I have the 10x32 EDG and when I close its bridge tightly it measures just over 50mm to 76mm but as a practical matter it would be unusable in the 50mm range if one has a high bridge (as opposed to no bridge) on ones nose because the eye cups would get in the way.
