It's very deep chested - Great Bustard? Is the angle at which it's flying away enough to foreshortened its neck?

Not a GB, but yes, the angle has foreshortened the neck somewhat.

I swear I could (and still can!) see there the ghost of the head of a Blue Tit (in dense mist!)... Hmmm. I guess it'll have to be something along the lines of a Fulmar then?
