Thanks again for looking. I've got an idea what this might be and hope someone can confirm it.

The blue colour led me to E viridulum, but perhaps one without red eyes, but I agree with Ischnura.

Although Dijkstra does not mention it Ischnura pumilio does occur in Sardinia too. Does anyone know when the 2nd edition is coming out, my copy has been soaked too many times!
